While the French and Indian head of states were signing billion dollar deals the First Lady of France, Mrs Brigitte Macron, took some time out of her schedule to visit the Lodhi Art district. The tour was conducted by the architect Pierre Guyot, a team member of St+art India Foundation supported by Asian Paints. The First Lady walked for one hour and a half all across the Art District, sharing feedback of admiration towards the nature and purposes of the project. The project creates an open air art museum that offers art to all segments of the society. She also appreciated the pleasure of walking in the area, a rarity on the busy streets of Delhi. The spirit of cultural exchange and collaborations, like the We Love Delhi collaboration between the French duo Lek & Sowat and the Indian artist Hanif Kureshi inspires an environment both local and global. The visit also marks the successful collaboration between St+art India Foundation and the French institutions in India (embassy of France, Institute Francaise, Alliance Francaise) which recently culminated in 4 projects across Mumbai, Hyderabad, Calcutta and Chandigarh on the occasion of the Bonjour India project.
