Former Australia vice captain David Warner broke his silence over the ball-tampering saga on Thursday with a post on social media in which he apologised and accepted responsibility for his “part” in the scandal. “I am currently on my way back to Sydney,” Warner posted in a message to “cricket fans in Australia and all over the world” on Instagram. “Mistakes have been made which have damaged cricket. I apologise for my part and take responsibility for it. I understand the distress this has caused the sport and its fans.

Angelina Jolie is reportedly dating a real estate agent. According to Entertainment Tonight, Jolie’s ex Brad Pitt, who she has yet to finalise her divorce with after a 2016 split, is also quietly dating around. “It’s not serious. Brad and Angie are both very secretive about their dating life. Angie has told some friends she isn’t ready to date, but she has been seeing a handsome, older-looking man who is a real estate agent. He isn’t a celebrity or high profile in any way,” a source said.

Tintin is not dead: Spielberg

Filmmaker Steven Spielberg has revealed that Tintin 2 is still in works, but will not release any time soon.The 71-year-old filmmaker helmed the first instalment The Adventures of Tintin in 2011. Peter Jackson was to take on directorial duties for an upcoming sequel. However, since the first animated movie came out in, news of the sequel had been quiet but now Spielberg has confirmed that Jackson “has to do the second part.” “Peter Jackson has to do the second part. Normally, if all goes well, he will soon start working on the script.

Australia’s day of shame ends in

Australia’s cricket’s day of shame ended in a crushing 322-run defeat by South Africa on the fourth day of the the third Test at Newlands on Sunday. Set an unlikely 430 to win, Australia were bowled out for a paltry 107, with fast bowler Morne Morkel taking five for 23. It was a fittingly dismal end to the match for Australia after they were caught up in a ball-tampering scandal on Saturday which sent shockwaves through the sport.

 

BCCI clears Shami of corruption charge, gives central contract

The BCCI on Thursday cleared India speedster Mohammed Shami’s central contract after its anti-corruption unit (ACU) exonerated him of corruption charges levelled by his wife Hasin Jahan. Shami has been given a Grade ‘B’ annual contract, which will make him richer by Rs 3 crore. He will also be free to play in the Indian Premier League for his franchise Delhi Daredevils, starting April 7.

Gender pay disparity exists largely because films are usually headlined by men

There may be instances when female stars demanded and received pay parity but actor Dia Mirza believes real change will come when we tell stories that give equal opportunity to both the genders.

The actor believes the industry needs to mature in its treatment of women and the kind of roles that are written for them.

Wonder Woman 2 will begin filming in June

The shooting on DC’s Wonder Woman 2 will start in June this year. Contrary to earlier reports that stated that the filming will take place in the UK, the film will be shot in the US around the area of Northern Virginia/District of Columbia, reported Omega Underground. Gal Gadot, who played the iconic superhero in the blockbuster original film and later reprised it in Justice League, will be back for the sequel along with director Patty Jenkins. In June last year, Jenkins had stated in an interview that the sequel would be set in the US.

Madhuri Dixit replaces Sridevi in Abhishek Varman’s next, Janhvi kapoor thanks actor

Madhuri Dixit has been signed on for the part in 2 States fame director Abhishek Varman’s next that was earlier supposed to be played by Sridevi. Sridevi’s daughter, Janhvi Kapoor, shared the news through an Instagram post, wherein she also mentioned that this film was very close to her mother’s heart. “Abhishek Varman’s next film was very close to mom’s heart ...Dad, Khushi and I are thankful to Madhuri ji for now being a part of this beautiful film...,” Kapoor wrote alongside a picture of Sridevi and Dixit. Sridevi died of accidental drowning  in Dubai last month at the of 54.

I freaked out

Actor Alicia Vikander says the pressure of continuously posting pictures and videos on Instagram was too much for her to take. The Tomb Raider star said she decided to leave the photosharing website just a month after joining it, reported Femalefirst. “I did have Instagram. I already freaked out about a month in, like a (pressure) that I had to post things. So, no, I don’t have  an Instagram account anymore," Vikander, 29, said.  The actor, however, is in love with Google. “My friends call me Mrs Google.

Didn’t know my wife was already married

More  skeletons tumble out of the Shamis’ cupboard.  The Indian fast-bowler has now claimed that he found out about his wife Hasin Jahan’s first marriage only after the duo got married themselves. Shami insists that Jahan had told him that her two daughters from her first marriage were actually her sister’s children. “I was not aware that it was her second marriage with me and it was only after we got married that I was told about two of my (step) daughters,” Shami told India News.
