In tandem with a weak trend in gold, silver prices also tumbled Rs 956 to Rs 45,498 per kg from Rs 46,454 per kg in the previous trade.
Tracking the rise in gold, silver prices also moved up by Rs 230 to Rs 46,510 per kg from Rs 46,280 per kg on Wednesday.
Silver prices also jumped Rs 380 to Rs 46,900 per kilogram from Rs 46,520 per kilogram in the previous trade, according to data.
Silver also lost ground and fell by Rs 315 to Rs 46,325 per kg from the previous close of Rs 46,640 per kg.

Silver was trading marginally lower by Rs 24 at Rs 47,120 per kilogram as compared with its previous closing at Rs 47,144.
Silver, however, fell Rs 110 to Rs 46,490 per kilogram here from Thursday's closing price of Rs 46,600 per kilogram.
