Bajaj Auto net dips 6%, revenue beats estimates

Bajaj Auto, the two-wheeler and three-wheeler major, on Thursday posted a 5.6 per cent fall in net profit as sales were hit by the changeover to BS-IV compliant vehicles and the transition to GST.

Profit stood at Rs 924 crore in the first quarter ended 30 June, which was almost in line with expectations.  The Pune-headquartered automaker had reported a net profit of Rs 978 crore in the same quarter last year.

Ducati unveils Scrambler Desert Sled at Rs 9.32 lakh

Ducati, the Italian iconic racing motorcycle maker, has introduced the new Scrambler Desert Sled off-road bike in the country with prices starting at Rs 9.32 lakh at Delhi showroom.

The Ducati Scrambler is already available in a number of flavours, the company has given for the Scrambler Desert Sled a serious overhaul with a modified and strengthened chassis, higher-spec long-travel suspension and an accompanying jump in ground clearance.

All these combined features make the machine a far more capable motorcycle off-road than its standard siblings.

Honda brings in Amaze Privilege Edition at Rs 6.48 lakh

Honda Cars, the Japanese car brand on Tuesday introduced the 2017 ‘Privilege Edition’ of its successful compact sedan Honda Amaze in Asia’s third biggest economy to boost sales.

Prices for the Honda Amaze Privilege Edition start at Rs 6.49 lakh for the petrol and Rs 7.73 lakh for the diesel version at Delhi showroom. Honda Amaze competes with the likes of Ford Aspire, Hyundai Xcent, Volkswagen Ameo and Maruti Suzuki Dzire.

No longer down market
