MG Motor is taking the Hector SUV on a roadtrip to reach out to Tier II and Tier III cities in India. The SUV will be carried around in a mobile showroom called the ‘MG Experience On Wheels’. It will cover areas where MG has not yet established a presence with showrooms/dealerships.

This showroom on wheels is actually a 45-feet trailer that showcases the Hector SUV and MG aims to offer an experience similar to its other showrooms. The carmaker says it will focus on the digital-led experiences and will consist of a digital terminal for customers to virtually configure the Hector with accessories too.

The Hector SUV is a mid-size SUV offering that is available with a choice of three engine options - 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre petrol mild-hybrid and 2.0-litre diesel. Its 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system has an embedded eSIM for internet connectivity and connected car technology.

The MG Hector is currently priced between Rs 12.48 lakh to Rs 17.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It rivals the Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500 and Hyundai Tucson. MG’s next offering will be the ZS EV electric SUV which is expected to debut in December 2019 and launch in early 2020.
