The state-run telecom operator is also expecting to get 4G spectrum soon, company officials said.

BSNL's loss is estimated to be around Rs 14,000 crore with a decline in revenue to Rs 19,308 crore during 2018-19.

The move comes at a time when Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is facing mounting pressure on its financials.

BSNL as well as MTNL had delayed payment of salaries for February until mid-March due to a financial crisis.

The net worth of BSNL stood at Rs 34,276 crore, while MTNL had a negative networth of Rs 9,735 crore as on April 1, 2019.
