The NCLT accepted the petition filed by Mumbai-based CloudWalker Streaming Technologies, an LED TV supplier to Flipkart.

Detailed questionnaires have been sent to Flipkart, Amazon and their response is awaited, said commerce minister Piyush Goyal.

In line with the Government of India's FDI policy, which allows 100 per cent foreign direct investment (FDI) in food retail for food produced and manufactured in India, Flipkart is applying for appropriate licenses from the government, Flipkart Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy said in a statement.

Paytm will consider getting listed on stock exchanges only after 2021 when the financial services company starts generating cash.

Amazon reported record sales of about 7.5 billion rupees (USD 7.07 million) in 36 hours in the premium smartphone brands category.

Amazon said it has created seasonal positions in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Pune.

Flipkart has added over 50,000 direct jobs across its supply chain, logistics arm and customer support.

The Big Billion Days (TBBD), which will be held from September 29 to October 4, will see the company taking its "expansive selection to about 19,000 pin codes in the country," said Flipkart Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy.
