While India might get occasional inflows, India Ratings noted that global capital inflows are unlikely to pick up sustainably.

The CAD, which is the net of foreign exchange inflows and outflows, had stood at USD 48.7 billion in FY18.

Overall trade performance was prime influencer for both contraction in CAD for March quarter as well as a widening for the full year.
