IndiGo on Thursday signed a one-way codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways, allowing it to book seats on the former's flights.

On Tuesday, InterGlobe Aviation -- parent of IndiGo -- informed stock exchanges that Bhatia and his group InterGlobe Enterprises have submitted a request for arbitration on October 1 to the London Court of International Arbitration. (Representational Image)

The stock of India's largest private sector airline declined 2.22 per cent at Rs 1829.35, on the BSE.

Gangwal and his affiliates hold around 37 per cent stake in InterGlobe Aviation, while Bhatia's group owns nearly 38 per cent shareholding.

Gangwal said the board has now approved a new related-party transaction policy and to also close an open issue.

IndiGo Chairman M Damodaran in an email dated August 5 has said the first vacancy on the board after amendment of the AoA would be filled by a woman independent director.

The differences between the two promoters came into the public after Rakesh Gangwal had sought Sebi's intervention.

InterGlobe lost almost $1 billion in market value on July 10 after Gangwal disclosed his complaint to regulators, although the shares have recouped most of those losses since then.

Gangwal last month alleged violations of corporate governance rules at InterGlobe, calling for India’s securities regulator to intervene.

In July, Rakesh Gangwal flagged concerns over alleged corporate governance lapses at InterGlobe Aviation.

In a statement on July 19, the company said its board has decided to seek shareholders' approval for expanding the board to enable the induction of an independent woman.
