Settling at a record high for the fourth consecutive session, 30-share BSE Sensex closed 7.62 points higher at 41,681.54.
The 30-share BSE Sensex was trading 102.51 points or 0.25 per cent higher at 41,776.43 in opening session.
The 30-share BSE Sensex settled 115.35 points, or 0.28 per cent, higher at its fresh closing record of 41,673.92.
The 30-share BSE index was trading 24.89 points or 0.06 per cent lower at 41,533.68.
The 30-share BSE Sensex settled 206.40 points, or 0.50 per cent, higher at its all-time closing high of 41,558.57.
On the Sensex, metal stocks drove the rally riding on US-China trade deal optimism.
BSE Sensex closed 413.45 points, or 1.01 per cent, higher at its all-time high of 41,352.17.
The 30-share Sensex rose 203.40 points or 0.50 per cent to 41,142.12 in morning session.
Losses in FMCG, auto, energy and select banking stocks eroded the gains with Sensex settling 70.99 points down at 40,938.72.
After starting significantly higher, the Sensex pared gains to trade 15.33 points or 0.04 per cent up at 41,025.04.
