The India's largest private airline had reported its highest-ever quarterly profit of Rs 261.7 crore for the June quarter.
The airline official said that a final decision on wide-body aircraft is yet to be taken and various options are being considered.
The carrier had a net loss of Rs 38.1 crore in the year-ago period.
Air India, Indigo, SpiceJet and Go Air are expected to benefit from the move.
LCCs has been the only successful airline industry model in India over the long term.
On the BSE, the scrip declined 3.07 per cent to close the counter at Rs 1,354.85.
As per governmant data total of 404 foreign pilots are working in India as of June 10 this year.
The first flight 'SG 78' was flagged off by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport.
SpiceJet is the only Indian budget airline to operate to Saudi Arabia.
